OUTBREAK

A viral outbreak of the flu virus has seized the Schlocko family here in secret HQ. At first it seemingly appeared as if I didn't get hit as hard as others around these parts, but my throat is getting sore and my nose is flowing like Niagara Falls. I'm at the moment, illing, as the kids call it, and taking it easy for the rest of the week with lots of meds, Gatorade, and cable to keep me alive.

The pisser is that I have a dentist appointment on Thursday to extract a tooth. This is not what I would call a fun week. Posting should resume next week. Stay weird!

THERE IS A MOVIE IN THIS SOMEWHERE

Need a idea for a film? How about this startling bit of news; it might be possible to use DNA to build a image of a criminal's face. Afterwards, hovercars for all!

AROUND THE CAMPFIRE: 2-17-09

Here are a few cool things being said or shown around the campfire:

A school that uses game-based learning opens in NYC. This piece of news actually makes me feel a bit cheated. Where the hell was this when I went to school!? (via Boing Boing)

A day late, but a couple of Marvel heroes help Lincoln kick some ass!

SV Bell's CRAWLER! - THE TRAILER:

NEKO RAHMEN TAISHO TRAILER (via Puppetvision)

I have no idea what the hell this is besides what is said here. Alls I knows is that it has anime-esque puppets in a Japanese flick. It's all good, as far as I am concerned.

THE BUSINESS OF FREE

Here is an interesting article on the economics behind giving away your dream project away for free instead of selling it from the get go.

Click here to add some more knowledge to your pulp utility belt. It's well worth the time. (hat tip to Bookthink.com)

I DID IT!

It was like ripping off a dirty band-aid but I finally did it. It only took a few moves of the thumb on the remote and I canceled any records of HEROES off my DVR. I have little time as it is to make my own pulp, I don't need to waste it on anything that doesn't even care enough to heed the rules of entertaining a audience. Speaking of which I gotta run, I have several projects screaming in my head and they won't shut up until I get them done. Stay weird!

THIS MIGHT BE COOL...
