FOUND MY LOVE ON BASS PRO DRIVE

A excerpt from a song that I am working on for a album I am working on with my band Two For Flinching:

"I went to Bass Pro on Bass Pro Drive to pick up a 12-gauge shotgun that I
wanted badly. I saw it on display, with a heavenly light shining upon it, and it
was the last one the store had. I placed my hand on it to take it and noticed
that a pretty red headed lady hand her hands on the shotgun too. Our eyes met
and I said ' mam, you got yer hands on my 12-guage,' it was love at first sight.

Chorus: I found my love on Bass Pro Drive."

In case you haven't figured it out, it's a comedy album of sorts.

ESSENTIAL PLOT TWISTS FOR WRITERS

Here is a funny comic on 42 Essential Plot Twists for Writers via Boingboing.net. What's scary is some of these don't sound that half-bad in a pulp kind of sense. Check it out for a good laugh.

FOR FIFTY BUCKS...

I've long forgotten where I discovered this story so you will have to forgive me for not giving credit where credit is due. And even though I am sure I've shared this tale before, I read something that made think of it and I want to share it with you again.

The story goes as this; During the filmming of a film, a producer wanted to know how much it cost to do a visual effect shot of the Red Sea parting. The fx person thinks it over for a moment and says well for a million I can part the whole sea. For fifty-thousand I can part just one side, and for fifty bucks I can have a guy look at something off screen and say, "holy shit the Red Sea is parting!"

Take from this story what you will.

A GOOD SCARE

One of my joys of Youtube is watching those pranks where people get the beejezus scared out of them. This clip is one my all time faves. It's from a Japanese show and involves RINGU. I have to warn you though to turn the volume down a bit because once those gals get freaked out all hell breaks loose and well it's gets pretty damn loud.

AFRO NINJA

To most this is old news, but it's still a classic to be shared:
