Red Faction Tries Multi-Platform Approach

THQ is releasing the latest installmnent of the video game Red Faction with the brilliant plan to coincide it's release with a SyFy Movie, a downloadable arcade game, and a comic book.  In doing so, the plan is to get their brand recongnized and in front of people whether it be on TV, a Iphone, or from the local comic shop.

Releasing a product or brand in as many formats as possible should not be a new idea to readers of this blog or Pulp 2.0 where Bill Cunningham has been preaching the glories of new media and getting into as many hands as possible.

Full details of the Red Faction release can be found here

ESSENTIAL PLOT TWISTS FOR WRITERS

Here is a funny comic on 42 Essential Plot Twists for Writers via Boingboing.net. What's scary is some of these don't sound that half-bad in a pulp kind of sense. Check it out for a good laugh.

THE SPIRIT: THE 1980'S VERSION

Apparently, before I had whiskers on my ol' chin, there was a 1987 Tv version of THE SPIRIT.

The sad news is that it never went beyond that. Although gold stars for sticking closer to the source material and costume design.

Check it out here.
