PLATOON OF THE DEAD

Fellow filmmaker, pulpster, and a all around great guy, Joe Sherlock, has been posting production journal entries to a zombie flick with a great title, PLATOON OF THE DEAD.

The film is directed by John Bowker with Sherlock as cinematographer among many other hats that he had to wear during making the making of this film.

So, shamble over to Joe Sherlock's blog and read up on what happened in the indie film trenches and learn a thing or two on how to make a indie flick. Don't forget to buy a copy when it hits shelves on June 16th. Click here for more details.

TOOLS THAT YOU NEED

Big tip of the hat to New Media Guru Bill Cunningham over at Pulp 2.0 for discovering this link. It's a Wikispace which lists a large assortment of digital tools that you must have in your New Media toolbox. This is the one link that will help you get that pulp idea of yours out quicker and cheaply. Check it out here.

VAMPIRE GIRL VS FRANKENSTEIN GIRL

The title sorta reminds me of old school AIP when Nicholson and Arkoff would come up with titles to catch the eye and imagination.

THE SPIRIT: THE 1980'S VERSION

Apparently, before I had whiskers on my ol' chin, there was a 1987 Tv version of THE SPIRIT.

The sad news is that it never went beyond that. Although gold stars for sticking closer to the source material and costume design.

Check it out here.

SOMEWHERE IN A SECRET UNDERGROUND LAB

I'm somewhere shrouded in secrecy working on several projects and getting my computer repaired. So any posts here are going to be a rare thing for the next week or two. It's time to get off my ass and work. Stay weird!
